NEW 2 Day Combat Carbine courses, and TacMed Carbine courses

include night shoot at the Lewistown, PA range.

NOTE: This is NOT a static shooting course. Unless you are taking our Intro to the M4/AR15 weapon system, you need a good working knowledge of the AR15 weapon system to take this course.  This is NOT a beginner/new shooter class, you will be moving, running, you will get dirty and your rifle will need a good cleaning after.

Required Equipment

    • AR-15 platform rifle (please have your rifle  zeroed at either 25 , 50 or 100 yards)
    • Only .223 or 5.56 caliber rifles allowed
    • NY Compliant Rifles are fine as long as they have a detachable Magazine (NO PINNED MAG RIFLES)
    • Rifle Sling – one, two or three point
    • Hearing/Ear and Eye Protection
    • Tactical Belt or Magazine Holder ( place to mags other than your pockets )
    • 3-5 Magazines with 10 round capacity minimum or high-cap if you have them
    • Red Dot sight is highly recommended
    • Maintenance Tools and Lube/Oil
    • 500-600 rounds for 1 Day Course
  • 700-900 rounds for 2 Day Course  ( brass case  recommended ) FMJ – Hollow PT – Lead core
  • Body armor/kit, plate carrier, Med Kits recommended

Ammo Restrictions for shooting steel targets

NO ARMOR PIECRING, XM193, 855, GREEN TIP, STEEL CORE, OR FULL COPPER (must be safe for steel) NO steel/copper (bimetal jacket). The usual culprits will also have a steel case instead of brass.

Check the tip with a magnet if you are unsure.
